Dr. Frederick Peng is a Gastroenterologist with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants. He graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He began his medical training in Philadelphia at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical society. He completed his internal medicine residency, chief residency, and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. As Chief Resident in Quality and Patient Safety at the Houston VA Medical Center, he led hospital wide initiatives to improve healthcare quality for Veterans at the largest VA campus in the country.

Dr. Peng provides comprehensive care for all gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Board certified in obesity medicine, he is also experienced in the management of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD/MASH) and is aco-author on the American Gastroenterological Association’s quality indicators for obesity management. Proud to take care of patients and their families in the greater Houston community, Dr. Peng ensures his patients’ needs come first. He is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered, high-value care. Dr. Peng addresses each patient’s unique concerns through personalized treatment plans supported by the latest medical evidence. He is fluent in English and speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese.
